Question Ebay Stuff Question...

Hello all.
I was looking to make my truck stand out a little more so I decided to looks at Ebay for some headlights and sidemarkers. My question is: Are the Lightning style headlamps on Ebay any good?(Hazing, leaking, installation problems, wiring)There seems to be a bunch of people selling them. Should I invest or will it be a waste of money?
Thanks!

For my 99XP-XLT, I invested around $200 for clear headlight (lightning style - check item 7969673005), clear corner light bought seperately, and billet grille (grille4you), all from e-bay.

No one would believe it only cost me that much since the change is so dramatic. Install for the lights is a breeze, the grille is a bit more involved since I got the kind that replace the oem grille and not the snap-on type.

I used the bulbs that came with the ebay-headlight unit (was surprised to find it got freebie bulbs) and lighting is much brighter being new and clear-glass/plastic, and I bet that if I put bulbs like Silverstar, it would be even better.

So far, no leak.

What I'm trying to look for is clear fog lights, they sell it at ebay too but the unit in pictures seems different than what's intslled in my truck.

Anybody tried clear fog lights for 99 XP-XLT bought from ebay?
How about clear/aftermarket third brake lamp? Anybody?

I've got the HD sidemarkers, and like them very well (less amber reflector, but still legal). Mine are OEM Ford units purchased from a Canadian e-Bayer.

MrBSS, great choice! I love the Harley's side markers, however I like them with the amber reflectors. Now If I could only find the Harley headlights with the orange reflectors + Harley F-150 grille. I would be in heaven.

Been wondering about that legality stuff....

The aftermarket I bought @ ebay has no amber reflector whatsoever, only the bulb is amber. It looks good though matched with the lightning style headlight imho, certainly different than stock xp.

BTW, has anyone checked-out the 5-lug HD 20" wheels at tirerack.com? It's supposedly licensed product from FORD SVT, but a lot cheaper than dealer's price.

If you're looking for HD heads, look on karkraft.com. They are going to be more than ebay but cheaper than the dealer and they sell OEM.
