I have a 1967 F100, 2wd shortbox with a 390 - that is how it was when I bought it anyway.
Right now I am doing the finishing touches on my 4x4 conversion. I have just a basic master cylinder in it right now. I am going to be running 35 or 36" tires and need better stopping power. I have a master cylinder from a '75 F250 with a booster on it. Is this a bolt in deal to change the 2? I will be running 4 wheel drum brakes for now, but will eventually upgrade to front discs for sure.
Check the firewall for the bolt pattern.
Are you sure the 75 stuff works?
Stock motor? Big cams=low vacuum.
Sounds like a great project. Put up some pics if you can.
Check my gallery for all the pics so far. Still have to put the tranny/tcase in it, probably do that tomorrow if it rains like they are saying.
I am running a 390 that is bored 30 over with a 2barrel, but will be replacing that soon with an edelbrock performer intake and a new carb (haven't decided).
It is tough to say. I know that there is a big difference between a 74 and 77. You would have to compare them. I am pretty sure the 75 is still the long push rod for the booster, but don't know about older than 74. The newer stuff used a toggle setup on the firewall.
