power steering pump

I have a 1977 F250 with a 400 motor that was installed by the previous owner. My problem is the power steering unit is shot. It looks like thst someone welded the pully on to the pump. In any case, I want to replace the pump, tank, and the pully. I can get the pump and tank at www.carparts.com, but I can't find any one that carries a pulley. Does anyone know where I can find a pulley? I have tried all the junkyards in the Toledo Ohio area with no luck. thanks for any replies.

I think I've got a pump and pulley (almost new) that I changed out of my '82 when I put on GM pump setup. You can have all of for the cost of shipping.

Say, there's probably nothing wrong with your pulley. They are pressed on and you need a special tool to pull it off. Take it to a local mechanic and they shouldn't charge you much ($2) to pull it off. Usually the replacement pumps come with a bolt to press the pully back on.

Mr. Slikness:

My power steering tank has three lines connecting to my tank. One is from the brake power booster.
Ford made two different units in 1977 one of them was a two line one was a three line like mine. Also, another difference between the two was one had a dipstick that you pulled out and the other had a cap that you unscrewed. The one on the vehicle that I have unscrews BUT it is not the origanal set-up that the vehicle came with. I'm not certain of this but I think my motor came from a 1977 Lincoln. In any case, I'm intersted in your entire powersteering unit (tank, pump, and pulley). I do have a powersteering pulling tool but the unit on the vehicle had the pulley welded to the shaft of the pump. I do not know if the pulley or the pump is the orignal.
Let me know if you think your unit will fit my vehicle and I would be glad to purchace it.

The tank and pump are an integral unit on mine. The cap twists off with a dipstick attached to the cap. It came off my '82. It has the high pressure line on one side and the return line on the other. I'd be happy to send it your way, though. Just drop me an e-mail with your name and address and I figure it will cost somewhere around $10 to ship (UPS) but I'll get you the exact figure. I butchered up the mounting bracket on it though, so you would have to pull the pully and put on another bracket.
