codes are in the door jam. and there should be tags on the diff covers telling you the gear ratio.
On the door jam if the two digit number ends in 8 it is a 3.08 if it ends in 9 it is a 3.55. If the first digit is a 1 it is an open diff and if it is H it is Limited slip.
The tag on the diff cover will say 3L55 for 3.55ls. or 3 55 for open gears. The same goes for 3.08 except it would be 3L08 and 3 08
