twisted bumper
hey my buddy backed into me and put a nice dent in my back bumber. It hit it right between the support brackets in the bumper and pushed that area in until the supports held it back. Does this sound like an easy fix or should I make him get me a new bumper? No paint damage luckily but it isn't looking too pretty. Any ideas on repair prices? Its a 98' xl 2.5l 5-spd 2wd thanks.
If it's really deformed, chances are that it won't ever look right even if you do get it to straighten out. Get an estimate from a body shop, being able to see it, they can give you a better idea of whether it can be fixed or not. Either way, your buddy's gonna have to cough up a few bucks. Might be a good time to upgrade to nicer aftermarket bumper, see if he'll split the cost. Could be cheaper for him, and you can upgrade for the equivelent of 1/2 the price that you would normally have to pay. (But then, maybe you weren't planning to upgrade anyway!) -TD
