Bent shifting fork? T-18

I have a 1971 F-500. I thought it was out of gear, although my foot was still depressing the clutch, as I jumped out of the truck I released the clutch and the truck jumped forward, and stalled. I got it started, but could not move the shifter. I pulled the shifter off and removed the top plate, nothing seems to be broken. I used acouple large screw drivers and got it into neutral. replaced the cover/shifter. Got it running and put it in gear and same thing the shifter would not move, and it would not change gears. I was told I had bent the shifting forks. I thought it was a T-18 tranny, got one from the junk yard and thought I would replace the top cover and all would be fine. When I pulled the top cover off the T-18 from the junk yard it has 2 shifting forks, where the trans I have in the truck has 3 shifting forks. At a closer look I see the cover on mine has what appears to be NP in a circle on the cover which is made of aluminum? The T-18 from the junk yard is made of steel. They are both 4 speeds. The Trans I have in the truck has NP on the right side of the trans and below it C-95711P. The trans in the truck has a band type parking brake, and also has a PTO, which is connected to a 20,000 pound winch. Does anyone know anything about this trans, or if bent shifting forks would cause this problem. Sorry this is so long but wanted to get all the info to you. Thanks
