Ok, here's the deal. I was cleaning out my car to get ready to wash it. I had my stereo going and the windows down. All of a sudden, the stereo cut off for a few seconds(like the car had been turned off), but then came back on. But after that, the power windows wouldn't work. I tried the controls on the driver door for all 4 windows along with the seperate control on all the doors. Nothing from any of them. So I thought to check the fuse. It's a 30a cb fuse. I noticed that the fuse(which is metal) was very hot to the touch. So I went to the auto parts store and got a new fuse and replaced it. But the windows still don't work, and the new fuse also gets very hot to the touch after a few minutes of the car being on. I can't even manually pull the windows up. What am I to do.
And please keep in mind that I really know nothing about repairing cars, let alone electrical systems. I was really hoping it was just the fuse, since I can replace that.

POSSIBLY a switch try flipping the passenge's override switch to issolate the three other switches. if that doesnt work pull the drivers door panel and unplug the main switch harness and see if the fuse still gets hot. If that doesnt work then I'm wrong, and it could be wiring issues. have you had any aftermarket wiring done???? ie. alarm, stereo, ect.
The radio still works just fine. All the other electrical parts seem to work just fine. According to the manual, the only thing that fuse is for is the power windows.
Also, does anyone know how to get the windows up manually?? I figure if I can at least get the windows up(in case of rain or thieves) I'll at least be a little ahead of the game.
Oh, and it's a 94 Ford Explorer. Never had any electrical problems before now.
