Leaking fuel tanks
The front tank started leaking in early spring so I quit using it and now the REAR TANK IS leaking too!
What is the hassles involved with this? Should I try to patch? get new metal or plastic?

Mine did the same thing. Many on here say its easier to pull the bed off to replace either one. My bolts started turning in the bed so I scratched that idea. I dropped my front by twisting the straps with a cresent wrench until they broke. Used those funky tools to take lines off and threw the new one in. It wasn't a problem.I let mine go for two years and when I finally did it the pump didn't work any more. Make sure yours does, I had to do mine rwice. Gonna do the rear this weekend.

The job is fairly straight forward. You can go either way on the tank, plastic cracks over time and metal rusts. You might want to check out the condition of your tank straps as you might need to replace them too because of rust.
