thanks for reading my post i cant live without my bronco
"Mechanic" is a name that is used much too loosely I think. I talk to "mechanics" all day long at the parts counter who are asking me what the problem is with a vehicle that I have never seen. Usually they proceed to replace every part under the hood until they hit the right one. That my friends is not mechanic work. It is replacing parts with no working knowledge of the system(s) involved. Believe it or not there are a lot of businesses out there with exactly this same method of fixing YOUR vehicle. If anyone out there is one of these "mechanics" I would like you all to know that no parts business wants your greasy used parts you try to bring back for refund because you misdiagnosed the problem or botched the job. You ask for a part, you get a part. All any company owes a customer is a working part and to honor any warranty with a working replacement.
Sorry just had to get that out! Anyhow Mr. Killswitch I seriously doubt your engine is "shot" and in need of replacement. I'm no F.I. expert by any means. I prefer the simplicity of a carburetor. I do know that some fuel systems employ ant-stall devices to eliminate exactly what you explained. I'm not sure how Ford sets up their systems but I bet it is something small in your injection system, some sensor or whatnot.
Someone with more experience hopefully will chime in and help out.
thanks man you gave me a few ideas. yeah i never listen to auto parts guys i took it to a dealer mechanic but he never really gave me an answer just sounded like he didnt want to work on it. cuz he was working on it at home because he owed my dad a shat load of money
