Mower hydraulics problems

At work, we got a big Jacobsen mower, with the triple decks and the works. It has hydraulic steering, and whenever we want to turn left, it'l turn a little ways, then it wont turn anymore. The wheel will spin but the cylinder wont push. Only way to get it to turn full, is to jam it back to the right, then left again and it'll turn fine. We had it taken to a shop where they replaceda bunch of stuff, including the cylinder, and it's still doin it....Any one got any ideas? Could it be cavitating, or is there something wrong withthe steering linkage or sumthin.

If the wheels will move then it isn't the linkage. The pump will supply flow to make it turn tight so it is not the pump since it does not care which way you are turning. The cylinder could have had a worn spot in the wall or rod but it has been replaced. Most likely it is the valve. A bind/bend in the linkage is always possible tho but we will assume they have checked that.

I assume you mean the valve from the steering wheel to open up flow to the cylinder? I don't know if that has been checked or not, it makes sense though for that to be it. I'll look into it, thanks a bunch

Correct, that is the valve. They are a common part from many hydraulic supply companies.
