Ever Dated a Teacher?
This past sememster, I completed my sophomore year of college. One of the classes I was enrolled in was Accounting. The first night we met, every guy in the class was ranting and raving over our teacher. The teacher was a knock out, and the nicest teacher I ever had.
After the semester was over, I emailed her and told her I ejoyed her class and so forth. It wasn't thirty minutes later she responded and had a question to ask me. Apparently she thought my comments were slightly flirtatious and questioned my reasons for sending the email. Although this was never my intention, me being a male, went along with it and told her that was partially true.
Here's the kicker she's about 7 years older than I am. She'll never be my teacher again so that's not an issue but I simply can't seem to get over the age difference. It's not a big deal at all with her, but seems to stay in my mind all the time.
What should I do?

age is only an issue if you make it an issue...
one of the most fun and classy girlfriends i ever had was almost 8yr older than me, but she was impressed with my boldness to ask her out and we went together for almost three years. i was 28 and she was 35 and i still think of her often after 25yr gone by. dont let the age thing be your problem...

A female 7 to 10 years older than the male , will not matter on a short term relationship . But , when the couple go in to a life time relationship, the trouble will come about when the female reaches the 60 year old + mark.

I have always dated older women and loved it. My wife is 5 yrs older than me, and most of my girlfriends have been 5 to 10 yrs older. I've always been fairly mature for a guy, so it was nice having an intelligent, classy person to spend time with. No games, and it's nice that they have their own car, job, place, friends, life, etc. Generally they're not petty or drama queens, which is a huge deal for me. I say go for it........it'll at least be a huge learning experience for you, and will probably change your outlook on women permanently. But I never dated a teacher, which was the original question.

GO FOR IT- I have never dated to say "dated" a teacher, but there was other stuff going on. Regardless, it is the thrill of a lifetime. Especially if you are still in her class.

My standard answer, forget about lust..finish school. Mistakes made while "lusting" often cause people to wreck their lives. Do what Howard Stern does when his girlfriend leaves town. Don't understand? I am not expanding, that is all.

I've never dated a teacher. But I almost did. We got along pretty good. Probably because she wasn't my teacher. Anyway, when I was in grade 12, she taught home ec, and I had a buddy in that class. I had a spare in that block, so I joined him a few times, and became a TA, so to speak. But to get to the reason why we didn't date, her older brother was my P.E. teacher.
Another time, I started flirting with some chick in a bar. She mentioned she was a teacher to a class of grade 6 students. She also mentioned that all the boys in her class had a crush on her, and one had enough gall to ask her out on a date to a Metallica concert. So, here's me, half drunk, saying "Miss McKay, I'm 22, not 11, so will you go to the Metallica concert with me?" I got an "ABSOLUTELY", but when her phone number came up, her husband grabbed her by the arm and left with her. And me without her number. Oh well.
