Strange noises when steering
I have an '95, F150 Flareside that has started makeing a clanking sound everytime I changed directions with my steering wheel. I though a bolt was loose around the steering box but the only thing I can find is a slight movement of a riveted frame connection close to the steering box. Has anyone had any problem with riveted connections making a clanking sound related to steering? I've heard a rumor that rivets have had to be replaced with high strength bolts to get rid of problem. Any truth to this?
