Please help!
Okay. Here's the story. I just finished swapping out my 351M for what i was told is a 400. I used the torque converter from the new engine, but used the tranny from my old engine. The motor runs great, but when I put the tranny in gear it does nothing. If I rev the motor to about 3000-4000 rpm, then it will gently engage and start moving, but does not stay engaged if you let off the throttle. What could cause this? The tranny is full of fluid, and all the linkage is hooked up properly. Please help me as I need my truck operational ASAP. any help is appreciated.
