I have a 02 F350 PSD, DRD -XLT. I wanting/needing to replace the CPS. I have been told to remove fuse #9 from under the hood. Ok, now comes the dumb question..... where's is that fuse located????
On my '00, the fuse block under the hood is against the firewall, on the driver's side. Open the hood and stand beside the left front tire and you should be able to see it. Mine is a black plastic box with a lid that comes off to expose the fuses inside.........
I have intermittent hard bucking under a steady throttle. Most everyone I have talked to said it's a CPS. The check engine light will come on but the PCM will not retain any code. See alot of post stating it's a good idea to keep a extra CPS around. Also, all the fuse are located under the dash on my 02......
I'll let you know if that solves the problem.

Reason: fuses are all under the dash
just out of curiosity, why would you unplug the fuse just to change the sensor? its only got a simple little wire connection, just unhook it and swap it out.
I do beleive that Ford moved the power distibution box out from under the hood in'02 and placed it under the dash with the rest of the fuses. I remember the last year that it was under the hood was '01

I had a 2000 F350 7.3L and it was under the hood. I now have a 2005 F350 6.0L and it is under the hood.
Well I guess that Ford decided to put the boxes back under the hood where they belong. Maybe it's new for '05 but I know for a fact that Ford put them under the dash for awhile, thanks for the info. I have been out of the dealership for about 3 yrs ago.
You go Labgal.
The main point I get from Labgal's posts on this thread is something I often wonder about.
So many of the questions here (and elsewhere) are where's this, where's that, what's this, what's this mean?
Look in the owner's manuals!
I know some are older vehicles, passed through a few hands, books lost, but basic questions from '04 & '05 owners, just don't understand.
I'm not saying don't ask, don't post, just makes me wonder . . . . . . .
I have a 2003 F350 Crewcab diesel, lost power window, radio and reading lamps. I found underhood panels with 1 inch square fuses or relays. Does anyone have an idea if these can be the source of the trouble?
