Before I cut down...

...my front sway bar links, since they hang waaay down below the front axle and threaten to hit every damn rock I go over, are there aftermarket ones available that fix this?

Seems there should be a way to remove them when playing ( do I see a new project in the works?? ) like the jeep boys do. Seems the bar should rotate up out of the way... Now what to do with the links. I'll have to crawl under tonight & have a peek. Several friends with Super Duties, just removed them all together. Gotta be a better way!

Thanks for the input!

I thought about that, ala jeep wrangler. But I don't try to crawl over boulders a lot, and 80% of the time love having a front and back swaybar.

I also looked under an EX that had aftermarket, straight links that were shorter in a parking lot...just what i need.

But I have not found them on-line.

I can fairly easily cut out about 3-4" from each and re-weld them, my father-in-law is an aerospace-class welder.

But I would rather remove and replace them with ready-made ones.

Lazy.

Have you decided to shorten the links? Or found shorter ones? Give us an update. I think many of us have the same concern about whacking them on rough terrain. Thanks.

I have yet to find the sorter links I crave.I am heading down to the BoLA friday,and intend on having the problem solved by then, I will post pics on the procedure...
