Stalling problem
I got a 331 and when going in a straight line in runs perfectly, but the minute I turn it dies. It feels like I just turned the key off. I haven't totally ruled out the carb, but it feels like it is an electrical problem. A short somewhere, but I wired the ignition directly from the battery with a toggle switch and a fuse. This cured the problem for a day or two. It started doing it again today. I'm stumped and running out of ideas.

sounds like a ground or wire is causing the problem. you really need to spend some time and wire up the ignition properly first. that way you can at least rule that part out. if it was a carb issue i doubt it would die but sputter more then anything.
