Bronco= Truck or SUV??
I've decided to sell the Bronco and get an F-150 Super Crew 4WD. Not an easy decision at all, but one that I've made and am finally able to deal with.
Here's the thing though, when I go to list it - I keep getting asked if it's a truck or an SUV. My answer is that it's a truck - no question. But if you were in the gas station and were looking for a Bronco - would you pick up the "Truck Trader" or the "SUV and Van Trader"?

The Bronco has been around since before the FTC even developed the classification for "sport utility vehicles". It was originally marketed as a "light truck/utility vehicle" because there was no such thing as an "SUV". The FTC didn't even usher in the SUV classification until the auto importers tried to sneak station wagon-bodied light trucks in as "passenger cars" to avoid the higher import tariffs.

Truck Trader it shall be.
Hate to, but I need four doors and rear shoulder belts for the boy. I've looked at all the possible solutions for belts, but there are a few other reasons for the Bronco to hit the sales block.
Funny thing, my wife plays soccer, is a mom, and loves the Bronco more than any of the other 31 vehicles I've owned.

We have had our Bronco since it was new in 1983. The majority of those 22 years, it was refered to as a truck. It is now primarily my hunting truck, but I do have street tires and would not hesitate to go anywhere, that is if I want to deal with 10.5 mpg.
Most of the "SUVs" I see could not get me halfway to my deerstand. My Bronco could from day one and it still does. I would hate to disrespect my Bronco by calling it an SUV.
