I have a 1989 F-150 2wd 4.9. Recently I was getting some heat but not very much. So I replaced the Coolant Temp Sensor, and the Thermorstat. After I did that there was no heat at all. So I replaced the Heater Core. And now I STILL HAVE NO HEAT! WHY? IS THERE SOMETHING ELSE I AM MISSING?! Please Help
Please refer to my post in your other 'No Heat' thread (from awhile ago) and let me know what you've checked or done since then. I strongly suspect an air filled heater core or a jammed blend door as recommended before.
Also if you put it to vent with the fan on high, does air blow strongly out of the vents? If not, and its blowing out of the defroster vents instead then you have a vacuum leak.
If the truck has been run at highway speeds for 20 minutes or so, the heater core hoses, (or any rubber coolant hose) should be hot enuf so that when you grab them, you want to let go. That is, very hot!
If that is true, then I would concentrate on checking the vacuum lines, and blend door.
