Question Power Locks loosing power

After work yesterday I got in my truck and went to lock the door on my way out of the parking lot and noticed that they didn't sound normal. So, I played with them on the way home and noticed that they seemed to be losing power. If I let them sit for a while 5-10 minutes, they would work good and the correct sound/power I am used to. If I did it 3-4 times in a row they acted like they were out of power. I'm thinking the culprit might be the relay. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions on it?? Or an idea on where the relay is located?

How does everything else electrical act? Almost sounds like loosing power due to bad alternator or battery. If all else is OK, then yes I would look at the relays. There is a bank of relays under the hood. They look like large fuses. Check your manual for which one it is.

Everything else electrical works how it should. I guess I'll have to look and find the relay and see what I can find out what it's doing/not doing.

Mine are doing the same thing. I never thought about looking at the relay, I called the Ford garage and priced new actuators.... not cheap.

in most cases it is the relay. when they start to go out the connections isn't good. bad connection lower current. lower current seems like a power loss.

How could you check the relay to see if it was week, or is this something you just replace?
