Synthetic grease?
I went to NLGI's web site and found out that a GC-LB rating means this stuff is good on anything except Chinese food.
I've run synthetic lube in the axles and transmission for some time with very good results, but I've never heard anything, pro or con, regarding synthetic grease.
Anybody?
Ed
I have been using synthetics,(oil, grease, tranny fluid, gear oil, etc.). I use the synthetic grease in the U Joints, etc., of my Mud Bogger (Supercharged 460 / F-250) and my Jeep(which really gets abused), it does a great job of displacing water and pentrating, and adhering to components, it does not easily wash away when hosing mud from parts. And it has much better heat tollerances than petroleum based lubes. I thoroughly beleive in synthetic lubricants, especialy in extreme conditions. All of the major brands are good products, but Red Line(Summit Racing carries it) has a very good reputation among racers. Later,
Jeff
