460 performance

460 performance
Been thinking about getting a 1995 or so F-350 with the 460 in the next few years and just ripping it apart and build it from the ground up. You know, 6" lift, 37" tires, atlas 2 trasfer case, performance E4OD, Air locker up front cone limited slip in rear with 411 gears... as you can see I've been thinking about this alot 
anyways my question is about the engine... If I bought a 460 short block from Ford would it be the same as the block in the truck stock? How about the 460 crate motors, but just rip off the manifold and put fuel injection on it? Are there any websites out their with performance parts for them? Will the Ford Racing performance parts and other companies parts work on any 460 or is there a difference between the truck engine and the other blocks?
