I'm in the process of buying a 05 F250 sc with the PSD and plan on lifting it 4" and throwing 33x12 or 13's on it with 10" wide rims and was wondering if that would be ok if I get the 3.73 gears. Also would I have any rubbing issues with this setup? Nice site here I like it. Thanks in advance. Eric

Dunno about rubbing issues, I am not familiar with lifting these beasts, but with 33's you will be fine with the 3.73's, however in my experience, once someone has but 33's, they can't wait to fit the 44's...
But if I recall correctly, if you get the diesel in F250 spec, you can only get 3.73's - could be wrong though...
I'm kinda going for the "Bulldog" stocky look and don't want to change gears right away that's why I'm thinking 33"s. I only pull a 4 place snowmobile trailer in winter and a Jeep on a trailer in the summer do you guys think that 3.73"s are to low for that. Thanks again.
When I bought my '05 PSD I asked for 4.10 gears and was told that with the PSD / Torqueshift it only came with 3.73. I also saw another post here somewhere that listed out lift with max tire height. I'm also thinking 4" lift so this list showed that a 4" lift could handle up to 35"s.
I too was told that the PSD with Torqueshift only came with 3.73 gears. So thats what I have. My 2005 came stock with 33 inch tires and I have 325/60/20 (35/12.89/20) on my truck now with no rubbing and completely stock. My wheels are 20x9 with a zero offset. I looked at getting 20x10's (with a -25 offset) but even with a 2 inch leveling kit I was going to have a rubbing problem. I did not want to cut anything off or shim my bumber so I went with these wheels and could not be any happier. I did a bunch of research before purchasing this expensive set-up because I did not what to have any problem with fitment. The main concern with choosing tire size and aftemarket wheels on our 2005 are checking the offset or backspacing of the wheels.
So yes you can fit 33's or even 35 inch tires with 10 inch wheels with a 4inch lift but your wheels will need to be -25 or less offset.
Take a look at my gallery with my zero offset, my tires stick out about an 1.5 inch outside the fender.
As for the 3.73 gears, I have not noticed a difference in performance and haven't checked gas mileage.
Goodluck and feel free to use the search button. This is a great resource to use.
