I have come across an '84 F-150 4X4 with a 300 I-6 and a 4spd transmission. It has a body lift, power steering, and power brakes. Very minimal accessories but still a good truck. It has 122,000 miles on it and the guy is asking $3000.00. Is it worth it or do I need to steer clear of it?
Yes it runs good sounds good and 4X4 works great. The only rust is above the right rear fender. I've never owned anything with the 6 or older than an '87 so I didn't know if it was a good deal or not.
i bought my first ford in march of this year and paid 3500 for it its a 2 wheel drive ext.cab 302 efi engine everything worked elec. locks windows and the cruise a/c did as well it had 80,213 miles that where original. the interior perfect with tinted windows and chrome rims. the only complaint was the radio was factory and the tape deck was slow and the speakers where shot. the bank said it would be worth about 4000 at the most and 3000 on the low side if it needed a few repairs. the only thing the body needed was the rust hole fixed on the upper fenderwell on the drivers back side but i fixed that now its a sharp looking ford oh by the way it had a bed liner all of its life the bed looks new under it.
I bought a 84 F-150 for 750 bucks. Now i need to figure out how to post a msg so i can get some help on fixing it. It wants to shake real bad after it warms up.It also wants to slow down when you try to accelerate. Its got the ole 300 inline 6 in it, 1 barrel carb
