here is what i got
92 f-150 4X2 x-cab. i am wanting to do a conversion to a 4 wheel drive truck. i was wondering what all do i need to do this and about how much it would cost new or just from a junk yard on average. thanks to anyone who can help me.
Big project, I think most 4X4's have different springs, driveshafts, transfer case/linkage, cross members, maybe different steering linkage, front axle and brakes. I would guess all this stuff from a junkyard around here would be several thousand dollars. I would guess is would be cheaper and easier to buy a 4X4 with a bad engine or trashed body for a couple thousand and switch in your good 4X2 parts.
