New gear shift
Has anyone attempted in installing a universal floor shifter conversion kit? I had to replace the one that was in my truck. Totally wasted!! So I bought one from Discount Autparts and it has been a pain in the butt getting evething alinged correctly. Any suggestions?

i went from the 3 on the tree to putting it on the ground in my 67 f100. i had to bend 1 peice which was a support bar. overall mine went in pretty smoothly but just took a while and i did it outside in freezing cold.

ill look under my truck tommorow morning to see which exact one. but no it was not the one that the shifter bolts on to. its the one that runs across the top, has a curve shape to it. when installing the bracket that the shifter bolts onto i had to move it back a little to get it into the right spot so the space between the gears when shifting was all the same. what peices are you exactly having a problem with?

Thank you for your help... I had to bend the main bracket up and figure out the new style cotter pins. I finished it up tonight... Now I need to find a carburator book. I have been trying to adjust my carb with no luck. I have never really messed with one and mine is hard to start when cold and just doesn't allow the mixture to be correct.
