Dana 28 TTB

This may sound stupid but how the heck do you drain the oil from the Dana 28 TTB front axle. It looks like I have to take the whole thing apart.

BTW: '85 BII, 2.8L V6, Mitsu 5sp, 4x4

there is a plug on the front end side which you can remove to drain and refill.

Like most differentials you have to siphon the old lube out thru the fill hole, or you can loosen the bolts that hole it to the axel and drain it quick. Seems messy though unless you have had a melt down and suspect crud in the lube.

You can not really drain the oil from it. You only can suc like 85$ of it through the filler hole.

the d28 only has oil up to the filler plug some if you drain it out with a suction your doing it right. don't fill it up past the filler plug
