911 or 9/11

Hi folks. Just a simple question from a simple person. I was wondering if any had noticed the date of the Attack? Do you think it coincidental that the date this happened was also our emergency phone number? I'm thinking maybe thease radical Muslims or whatever they are chose the date 9/11 for that reason.Just my thought.

Did you also notice that there was a big event in the middle east on 9/11/1979? I'm not sure what it was but my friend was telling me about it.

There are several things that happened on 9/11 in the past. Go to Time magazines web site.
Also, everything went down almost at 9:00 am and the towers did resemble the number 11. Strange.

also the first plane to hit was flight # 11, and i believe it had 65 people on it. 6+5=11. kind of weird.

How about the prediction by Nostradamus?
There are flaws in the prediction but it does make you think. Jake.

That is what scares me. It's been years, but I remeber it to be something like this:A great explosion (?)will befall the new city at 45 degrees latitude. It will appear as a second sun. Man maid mountains will topple. Something to that effect. Go's on to tell about an object wich we would perceived as plains. And the explosion is perceived to be a nuke blast by modern people.
But if the Attack is what he foresaw, and being from the era he was, I can see where that would be seen as "a second sun".
Any way, I may be way off. Like I said, It's been years since I've read any thing of Nostradomos.

I think, but am not sure, that Nostradumus' reading went something like this: "And in the great city of God, at the 45th parallel, two metal birds will collide into two brother statues, and the world shall cease shortly thereafter". His prediction being two metal birds (planes) will collide with two brother statues (twin towers) at the 45th parallel (duh) in the great city of God (God=power, as does money, so New York could be a powerful city run by money, which it is) and the world will end thereafter (I think it might mean, not the literal end, but as we know it, maybe free world, or modern world...serious changes will occur to change how we view the world now). Eh, it's all just speculation, in fact, there might not have ever been this prediction, but it's something to think about.

Also, did you notice other 911 facts? I might be stretching for this one, but the attack occured at about 9am, and the two towers kind of look like the number 11 in the skyline...911. Wierd stuff fellas.....

Just like every other hoax on the Internet, its best to check facts before spreading things. This is a huge hoax. Nostradamus never said this nor anything like it.

http://www.snopes2.com/inboxer/hoaxes/predict.htm

This particular Nostradamus quote was:

"It originated with a student at Brock University in Canada in the 1990s, appearing on a web page <http://www.snopes.com/inboxer/info/analysis.htm> essay on Nostradamus. That particular quatrain was offered by the page's author, Neil Marshall, as a fabricated example to illustrate how easily an important-sounding prophecy can be crafted through the use of abstract imagery. He pointed out how the terms he used were so deliberately vague they could be interpreted to fit any number of cataclysmic events."

File this hoax under "knee deep." IMHO, believing in the vague "prophecies" of Nostradamus is no different than believing in Miss Cleo. Just my $0.02, take it for what its worth....

Also the Nostradamus prediction hoax is exposed on the [Link:www.urbanlegends.com/|Urban Legends] website. Just scroll down nearly to the bottom and click on "Urban Legends Zeitgeist" for the latest hoaxes. Also discussed there is the Devil face in the smoke of the burning trade center:

The # eleven

The date of the attack: 9/11 - 9 + 1 + 1 = 11

September 11th is the 254th day of the year: 2 + 5 + 4 = 11

After September 11th there are 111 days left to the end of the year.

119 is the area code to Iraq/Iran.
1 + 1 + 9 = 11

Twin Towers - standing side by side, looks like the number 11

The first plane to hit the towers was Flight 11

State of New York - The 11th State added to the Union

New York City - 11 Letters
Afghanistan - 11 Letters
The Pentagon - 11 Letters
Ramzi Yousef - 11 Letters (convicted of orchestrating the attack on the
WTC in 1993)

Flight 11 - 92 on board - 9 + 2 = 11

Flight 77 - 65 on board - 6 + 5 = 11

OK, I think I get it now, we are to avoid 11 year olds? and not buy gas on any 11th street, and beware of anyone who numerologically amounts to 11. I think this event is bad enough, without following myths, and the occult.

I bet I can come up with at least a dozen ways it matches 110, 480, 32 or 7. No wonder Miss Cleo stays in business... now she's even doing a pay per view.

Heh...heh...I have an even more personal issue with it. My wedding anniversary is 9/11. Now for the rest of my life I have to be reminded of what happened every single year. Hello...Miss Cleo...?

The major flaw of the Nostradamus prediction was the fact that it was written approx 90 years after he passed away. Nothing like having the facts straight when creating a hoax. Lol.
