leaf springs fit

Will the rear leaf springs work?

I have a 77 f250 2x4 regular cab

parts truck 79 f250 4x4 extend cab


Hoping for same or higher ride hight.

You can make anything "work" with enough time, money, patience, and a big hammer The 4x4 leaf springs are 3 inches wide, while I believe the 2x4 leaf springs are 2.5 inches wide, making for a tight fit. Best thing to do is grab a tape measure and check length, width, and arch.



EDIT: If your just looking for a few inches of lift, try a shackle flip (don't hual to much though). Plenty of info on that in the offroad forum. You could also buy some lift blocks made for 2x4 trucks.

I broke two leafs in the leaf pack on the pass side. I will check in to the widths
