Hey guys got another question I went to replace the shift **** on my 2000 f250 and the dealer told me they had to check the vin to see wich tranny I had. He said there was a standard and a heavy duty. I moved and went to the dealer here and he told me there was only one so I bought it and went to put it on. I had to beat it on, it didnt go on easily like it wasnt for that stick.I have alos seen people on here say the manuals are six speeds but the dealer told me it was a five speed with a granny low gear. Am I being jerked around...I hope someone on here knows better. Thanks

yeah its both actully its a tranny with 6 forward gears. a 5 speed with a granny low would be a 6 speed also. theres only one tranny behind the diesel. if its a superduty its the ZF 6 speed if its a OBS its a ZF 5 speed.

they do all go on snug. then they dont come back off that way.
