I'm having an electrical problem in my 00 150. When I turn the headlights on my radio shuts off. Also when I shut the lights off and pull the key out the bell keeps ringing as if the lights are on. The radio doesn't turn off with the key and must be turned off manually. I first noticed something wrong when the truck sat for 4 days and the battery was dead. I don't know if this had any effect or might be an issue, but 5 days ago I pulled a boat trailer but all lights worked fine it is only five yrs. old and in good shape. Last night I pulled the same trailer 90 miles and everything worked fine. I don't know if that had any bearing on my problem or just coincidence. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Has there been alot of rain in you area lately? A wet GEM module can cause the sort of problems your having. Look under the driver's side dash and look for signs of rust and/or moisture. Hope that helps.
Yes it had. It has now stopped and so has my problem. I guess a Ford module when wet will do the same thing. I was so surprised when the battery was dead, I thought maybe I left lights on or something. I guess the window was open a crack and the dash could have gotten wet. Thanks for your help. What a great site this is. Thanks again.
