Remote Start Doesn't...Again!
Three years ago, I put the Ford Gold remote start (and security system) in my then new F150. I had some similar problems with it then (probably shows up in the archives here), and again it has stopped actually starting my truck. It does crank it, and the "security" light doesn't flash, but it won't fire. I tried reprograming, but that did not help. It starts normally when using the key.
I assume it is something with the Passkey bypass module (this was an added Ford item). Maybe it's position has slipped or a wire has disconnected.
I'm going in there this weekend, and if nothing is obvious, I'll probably order a new Passkey module.
I would appreciate any guesses on what is the likely culprit.
