Problem - backfiring under (moderate acceleration)

I have a 1956 Ford F100 with a 5.0 L Hi-Perf from Ford Racing (SVO aluminum heads, Weiand Intake, Edelbrock 750 CFM, shorty headers, MSD 6AL), etc..

It ran great from the time it was installed until I put the truck in the paint/body shop...it was in paint about 4 months...

Current Status:
Starts great
Idles (ok with no backfire that I can tell...it has an moderate-aggressive cam, so I'm not sure if it happens here...)
Hard Acceleration (good - no backfire)

Moderate Acceleration -
When I'm going about 5-20 mph and apply gas to either maintain the current speed or accelerate just a little, I get a pretty loud pop that you can feel(sounds like a carb backfire). It happens consistently (every time, about 4 or 5 times per minute).

If I accelerate hard up to 70-80 mph and completely let off the gas; it coasts down to zero perfectly ok without the popping/backfire.

Could this be vacuum or plug wires, etc...

Any suggestions ?

THanks
