Cleaning the carb on a string trimmer?

What's the propper way to clean the carb on a string trimmer motor? Can it be submerged in cleaner? Should I just spray the heck out of it through the fuel intake tubes?

Thanks in advance.

As with any carb you have to take it apart and blow out all the passages. Those carbs have diaphrams that need replacing..esp if you leave gas in it for long periods.
