after changing my tranny fluid the other night I figured what the heck, I should check the t-case fluild level while I was under here. When I tried to loosen the plug, the nice square hole became rounded!!!! Is there any easy way to remove this without getting out a drill? It really seems to be seized up, and I cant be without my truck for the next month.
Thanks

Did ypu try heat, or sometimes you can "beat" a close fitting allen key or torx bit into a rounded fitting like that,
Yea it may make it worse but what do you have to lose,
I would use lots of heat get it cherry red if you can, you would be surprised what heat can do sometimes,
Whatever you do be shure not to crack the case, it is only a casting.
try wd-40 and spray a little at a time every few hours. i have freed up some bolts that were really stuck in the past. after that try to pound in a wrench or what ever you can, then try to work it lose. if no luck try the wd-40 agian
good luck
If it's still in there and not leaking leave it alone for now. If you put a torch on it and get it too hot you are going to cook the fluid behind it and will have to change it before continuing. Before proceding get a replacement plug from the dealer or a junkyard. That way you'll know what your playing with and the replacement will be ready when you are.
Go ahead and soak it with a good penetrating oil. Another trick is to warm it up (not glowing!) with a propane torch and then rub a candle around the threads. Sometimes the wax will be pulled into he threads and make removal much easier. A large EZ-out might do the trick...
