Correct. With the actuator disconnected and no modifications made to the actuator rod, it will generally hold to ~24psi.

I thought the W/G started to open at 5* and was fully open at 15* when connected, and if it was disconected it would open slower ans still be open at 15* regardless because that was the way it was designed???

i thought the boost pressure had to overcome the spring that holds the wastegate closed b4 you would start to "loose boost"

Wastegate STO is 5 psi, full open is not later than 8 psi. Spring pressure will generally hold to right around 24. 16 PSI is the STO pressure for the BB turbo.

I must have a serious problem cause when I unplug the red vacume line going to the waste gate there is no change and I cant hit 20 psi no matter what not even with my preditor tuner on the 85 hp setting. HUH I might have to look into this.

Try putting more tension on the actuator rod.

Yep, although it might be the Predator. Just for kicks I loaded the 100 horse Predator program on my truck today, and it barely made 24 psi. My truck will make low 30's easily with my chip. What kind of boost are you making with the stock programming?

The 99.5-03 will make around 17 psi stock. That can normally be tweaked up to the low 20's by disconnecting the actuator and/or increasing the seat pressure on the wastegate itself.

yes... hehe... to obiwancookie you listen...
