F150 Idle problem

F150 Idle problem
2002 F150 with 5.4L motor. Has been idling a little rough, borrowed an OBD2 interface for my laptop and found that the timing is bouncing around between 13-25 degrees at idle. No trouble codes are being set, and the o2 sensors are bouncing around in sync with the timing so I'm fairly sure the reading is correct. RPM is 640-670 Any ideas what would cause this? Figure it will have to go in to the dealer, but I want to know what I'm in for first.

i had that with my 99 150 5.4 dealer tech told me he changed the voltage to the computer ..didn't make sense to me ..i'm looking for the dealer paper work now..if i can find it i'll pass along what exactly he did........mine felt like it had a miss to it..would idle fine and then stumble a bit..

mine does the same thing. i have heard that the mod motors after a few thousand miles they have a little shutter to the idle. there is a few post on this site that says the same thing. on post even said that the dealer told them it was normal. hope this has been a help.
