steering noise?

steering noise?
When I turn my steering wheel, it sounds like a horror movie when someone is coming through an old screaching door. or it sounds like a leaf spring pack gone bad when weight is put on it. What really stumps me is when I jack the right front of the car up and turn the wheel you cant hear the noise. So I am guessing, whatever it it is, it has to be weight bearing? Any suggestions? I know it is on the right side, and it will do it however long I want to keep turning the wheel back and forth. It seems like it just happened overnight.

Well, I know the ball joints were bad, you think they could cause this sound? But, wouldn't they make the same sound if I were to bounce the front end as well as turn the wheel? I had a friend turn the wheel and I couldn't find a distinct area. I do know that it is the front right. He also looked and thought it was coming from the rack and Pinion, but I disagree with that.
