Trans Code F
After searching through all the forums here, and a couple other places, doing general websearches and other investigation, I was unable to find anything that explained my tranny door code.
I was pretty sure that I have a T-18, just wasn't sure which T-18 I have.
About 2 weeks ago, I logged on to the owners area at Ford.com. After getting all signed up with them, I submitted the question to the customer support folks. I got an email back a few days later saying that they didn't know, but they were turning it over to their research people.
This morning, I had a voice mail from a guy at Ford Corporate. He was calling to confirm that I do have the T-18 and went on to give me the gear ratios, so I know that i do have the WR version.
Huh. I'm kind of impressed that they took the time to look it up.
