Electrical/Starting Problem

Last weekend I spliced together the wires of my cigarette lighter that were probably cut by the shop that installed my stereo deck. It seemed to work with no problem. The next morning my truck started and I noticed soon after leaving my house that my turn signal indicator was cycling much quicker than normal. In the past it had done this when I had a burned out tail light. I parked at work and upon leaving for the day I had the following experience when trying to start my truck(93 F-150): I turn the key I hear the starter(?) click as if my battery is dead and then slowly with the key still turned the starter will slowly gain power and after 3-4 seconds will successfully turn over the engine. The rapid "blinking" of my turn signal has stopped. Thinking it had something to do with the splice job I removed the fuse for the cigarette ligher and uplugged its wires but the problem still exists and seems to be getting worse. Any ideas on where to begin looking?

Electrical/Starting Problem

My truck acted the same way and I chased that problem for about 3 months before I found that I had a dead cell on my brand new battery!!
