Question Been away awhile...

It's been awhile since my last post, pretty much because I don't have time with school and everything but I have a problem and need the wisdom of some of you guys around this site. Right now my truck thinks the door on the driver side is permanently ajar. It also thinks that a key is in the ignition when there isn't. The latter problem is being solved today, hopefully. So the question I have is, where is that stupid door sensor located? I can't find it for the life of me and the Chilton guide has nothing in it about the door sensor, or at least to my knowledge there isn't any info. I really appreciate any information you can offer me for solving this problem. I am tired of pulling the fuse for that stupid door chimer.
Thanks again!

I think it is part of the latch on the door.
give it a good shot of wd-40.

yeah it''s in the door latch under it actually just spray some wd40 at the bottom of the latch, and the problem will probably go away.

Thanks! I appreciate the advice. By the way. The problem I had with the ignition switch. It was not actually the cylinder but the little connector inside the steering column. One of those two dollar parts that you have to pay like $500 for the entire harness. Well it's jerry rigged for now. Gotta keep my eye out for a SD in a junkyard. (Yeah that it'll happen in Alabama) Thanks again!
