I've been reading about all these vibration issues here and I notice on my new 05 F150 FX4 4x4 Screw that at times I can feel an ever so slight vibration coming through the accelerator pedal... It lasts anywhere from 1 second to 3-4 seconds... i've noticed it most of the time at lower speeds, from 30-35mpg and 40-45mph.....it's not a violent vibration at all but it's difinetely there and can be felt through my right foot when it happens.......the vibration isn't heavy a slow it's a very fast light vibration... if if happened ALL the time it probably wouldn't be a big deal but the fact that it happens intermittantly and randomly leads me to believe something is wrong....
anyone else with vibration issues have this happening? i have't seen this kind of virbration description posted yet...
I have noticed it. I attributed it to the aftermarket exhaust. Strange feeling, the pedal seems to be picking up a growl. Not all the time, mostly at partial throttle, and lower speeds. Not too annoying, just something I have felt.
Chris
I also have noticed this but it started after I put a new Airaid intake on. I think it has something to do with the harmonics os the exhaust and intake together.
I have this experience as well, but its only when the truck is cold and I am starting out going forward, for example after pulling out of a parking spot. Its does it once and then I never feel it again. Pretty weird feeling but I asked about this several months ago and a bunch of others said that had it and I think someone might have even explained what it was and it being normal... have to dig through the threads to find it.
I have had vibrations from day 1. My accelerator pedal started vibrationg intermittently between 50-75 since my tailshaft was replaced. My truck is totally stock.
I've noticed it also on my 4x4. I thought it was me for a while, but I guess I've gotten used to it as I don't notice it as much anymore. I wasn't able to connect it to a certain speed or condition, the pedal just seemed to be picking up some form of the road vibration that was transfered to the pedal. I had to look down and make sure I had my shoes on, it was almost like when you barefoot it and can feel more vibes.
I had the same problem. I would feel a slight vibration through the pedal at around 50 -60mph. I was afraid that I was starting to get the dreaded vibration that everyone else has but it turns out it was the tires. One of the front tires had slightly less air in it than the other one and would send a vibration through the pedal. It only happened when I would climb in my truck with the tires being cold; after they got warmed up it went away.
I might check your tire pressures; atleast 5 people I know have had the same problem with their new f150's and it was the tires everytime.
I went ahead and solved mine by going with 305/55/20 Terra Grapplers.
I love the fact that all of us thought it was just our trucks!
It barely even qualifies as annoying. Just something I noticed. It seems to be a sign that something is microscopically out of balance. Some kind of very specific harmonic.
wow, thought maybe it was just me... looks like others are experiencing the same thing....
my truck is stock... so i'll check my tire pressure.......i figure as long as it doesn't get worse i can live with it... it's very very slight and minor...
just wanted to see if others noticed it.....
i assume the "driveline vibration etc. etc." threads going around exhibit a much more violent virbration..........
Childs toy cap vs. hand grenade difference. I only notice it when I wear my hard soled tennis shoes. In my more usual walking shoes, I don't feel it.

Actually, I find that downright disturbing.
You paid ~30k (give or take) for presumably a nice, troublefree, reliable and enjoyable truck to drive. I'm only guessing here, correct me if I'm assuming things.
I highly doubt that part of that is to worry about every little chirp, noise and bump in the road that could lead to the "vibration issue" and 34 trips to the dealer.
You all are feeling the optional vibrating , foot massage unit at work. To disable , hook and unhook the seat belt 3 times in 3 seconds then grab a cold coors light. To you serious types , I am kidding.

Just my 2 bits.
I paid 13k no give or take, and got a very nice truck. My wife's ride cost 54k, and has had more trips per mile to the dealer for various problems.
The most expensive car I ever had still ended up at the dealership four times in two years for weird problems, Like no A/C on the hottest week of the year.
