Motor mounts ? Left=Driver

I got the motor out on the stand again as many of you know. I cleaned and paintedthe block and motor mounts. They are labeled left and right. What does that mean? Left = driver side....I just want to make sure. I should be stuffing the motor back in soon. With a new carb, new torque conveter and a new shifter and repaired rocker assemblies....

This may be a dumb question but if the motor mount was on the wrong side couldn't you just flip it over?

Negative, you can't flip it over. The mounts have an offset up/down as well as front/back location of the mounting stud.

The mounts also have a very small "TOP" imprinted on one end. Helps you to get them facing the right way.

When you reinstall the engine, the carb goes up, and the waterpump should point forward (as you sit in the truck).

Just tryin' to be helpful. Working nights and drinking wine with you eggmuffin can lead to simple mistakes.
