I just finished doing work on a Dana 60 in a 1999 Dodge 3500 4x4 and the socket that fit was 42 MM. I bought a 3/4" set from Harbor Freight for about $50 with all the big MM sizes, ratchet, and extension. Plus a 3/4<->1/2<->3/8 impact adapter set for about $5. Lifetime warranty, so I took it off and put it on for the 175 ft pounds with my impact gun
I really wanted impact sockets, but, the only one that had them that big was $nap-On.
FWIW.
The way they put the DRW adapters on a Dodge front axle with the hub is enough to make anyone go insane trying to remove them. Ever try to get a 22 mm (7/8) impact crow's foot ? Torque to spec was getting a cheater bar over my 7/8 wrench and standing on it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure the one he is talking about is about 2.5" in diameter with six (or maybe 4, can't remeber) small studs sticking out of it. Both your ford dealer or Napa should have one. Becareful though, there are at least three sockets that are similar. A smaller one for D44's, and a bigger one for the D50/60's.
yea i just bought a 4 prong one today for may dana 44. $36 Canadian. Napa didnt have any in stock, got mine at Bumper to Bumper. Any good automotive tool supply store should have them.
Pep Boys has them! Its about 13 bucks. I just bought one the other day to take apart my front D60. It has 5 or 6 teeth, I already forgot, but it worked great. They also carry the socket for D44's for about the same price.
Now I need to find a thin walled socket to fit the rear D60 spindle nuts.

If it is that style, then you can get that in a tool rental kit at Advance Auto. The one with the six sockets. I got that originally before I found out about the Dodge set up. If you want to buy the kit (instead of renting) it is $50.
