setting plug gaps after installing an MSD 6A igntion...

I am gonna put in an MSD 6A ignition along with the MSD TFI Blaster coil in my 96 302. does anyone out there know the compression ratio for the 96 302? Also the factory reccomendation for plug gap is .054" and I know MSD reccomends increasing the gap. Any ideas on a gap that works best with this setup? everything is pretty much stock for now except for a K&N filter.

.054 seems a little wide already, but I'm not sure with the new FIs. My carbed '82 has a recommended gap of .045 and I widened my gap to .050. MSD suggests widening the gap by cubic inches and horsepower and I believe the small blocks fall into the .050 to .060 range.

I thought MSD said to adjust your gap by compression ratio... anyways the gap switched to .054 in the 96 302. earlier models with the 302 still ran the .044 gap and I'm assuming the gap changed when they put the OBD-II computer in. I was thinking about setting the gap to .060 on a set of bosch platinum plugs (single electrode).
