80k miles on 2001 Ford Excursion.
Periodically I have oil leaking. I had in one shop tell me it was the oil filter. this was not the problem.
another shop told me Ford has a recall on the turbo seal rings.
2 part question
has anyone else heard of this recall?
does Ford have a 100k mile warranty on oil leaks?
You have a 100k warranty on your motor. If it's leaking, then you should be covered unless you have modified your truck with chip or anything. Even the turbo is covered in a stock truck. Everything else expires at 3yr of 36k.
Yeah, I pointed that out to the dealers (two of them) who said that the fuel system was covered, but the fuel lines AND the fuel filter housing were not covered by the 100k warranty. Two dealers told me this when I had a fuel leak problem. Turned out to be a fuel line.
I don't know about the 36k warranty as I bought mine with 89k on it.

No not really. It is 100k or 5 years. Which ever comes 1st. I have a 2000 with only 51k and it will soon be out of warranty due to the 5 years. Been out as far as I am concerned due to modifications. Hope this helps.
