You can easily bypass it. Just remove one hose from the intake and tie it off so it's out of the way. Then remove the other hose off the heater core and attach it to the intake. So the water flows out the intake through the heater hose to the water pump. Your pickup is very easy to replace the heater core. The core is $20 and just remove the plastic cover behind the glove box and the core slides out - 20 minute job. Might be just as easy to replace the core as to by pass it.
ok let's see if i get this right.
I take the bottom one off. And take the end of the upper one at the heater and put it where i cut the bottom one off at the motor. i tried takeing the screws off but they wont. could i just cut one of the hoses off or cut where the screw is with a hacksaw.
