what tranny

If I have a 1970 ford 4X4, what transmission do you guys think i have? the guy said the motor was a 351w which is now missing. Its the 4spd on the floor.

Check the bellhousing on the tranny first. Tell us how far apart the two top bolts are that go into the block. If the BH has a round face, your motor was an FE. I'll guess it's a standard issue T-18....
