Question 2 inch block vs 4 inch block

I pulled out my 4 inch blocks to install the 2 inch blocks ( pulling a 5th wheel) and noticed that my 4 inch blocks were perfectly flat but the 2 inch blocks were taller on one side. Which way does the taller side go, towards the front of the truck or towards the back?

The bigger side goes to the back of the truck. It is used to adjust the angle of your driveline.

The 2" blocks you got are tapered to adjust the pinion angle of the rear axle. From what I have read, the two longest wheelbase trucks have flat and the others have tapered. Mine is a CC short bed and it has flat blocks as well as the long beds. I think all Reg. and X-cabs come with tapered.

If your truck came with flat (non tapered) blocks, you need to replace them with flat blocks. Installing those blocks will probably cause a vibration in your rear driveline.

Do some research on this site

Just to remind everyone when changing the blocks, you also need to change shocks as well.
