Shift Indicator Off Help!!

You have to tear the steering column apart to fix it. Theres a tiny wire connected to the indicator and the gear lever. Yours might be stretched. Mine broke so I'm always in park but it doesn't bother me, keeps people from driving my truck.

I'm not exactly sure. Before mine broke it was off like yours is but I never looked to see why it was like that. Best thing to so is take it apart and see for yourself, a new cable shouldn't be too expensive though. Good luck!

All you need to do is remove the plastic collar from around the column where it meets the dash, loosen the screw on the bottom of the column where the indicator wire connects and adjust. Takes 10 minutes.

easier way is just to count your shifts hah.. my was converted from a 3 on the tree to a auto, i just gotta count how many shifts.. get used to it after awhile. just jump in and go.. and no one else drives it hah
