I just bought a new 2005 F-250 Crew Cab Lariat 4x4 Fx4 with the 6.0L Diesel, drove it to California and back this weekend from Arizona. This truck rides as smooth as my wife's Mercedes E430 and has great overall comfort and power. I was a bit bummed out selling my 11 Second Lightning due to this darn dirt road we live off of, but this new truck is simply amazing. I hope they worked the bugs out of the 6.0 Diesel for 2005, as this truck will stay in the family a long time.

At our house, we have a few other vehicles that most folks would think we'd choose for our roadtrips... Jaguar XJ6 (sold my XJS), Grand Cherokee or our little RocketShip Mercedes 560SL.
For the record: Our roadtrip machine of (unanimous) choice is the 6.0 CC Truck
